The City is working on a long-term plan to continue the momentum of enhancing a vibrant and thriving cultural district within the Civic Block.
Because the success of the plan will depend on bringing more people into the area outside of business hours to make the desired improvements, two variations of the preliminary concepts are being explored to add residential and commercial opportunities and consider the option for an increase of building heights at three key locations – Kelowna Community Theatre, the existing police services on Doyle Avenue and Okanagan Heritage Museum.
Join the conversation about your downtown. Visit getinvolved.kelowna.ca to learn more about these options and share your opinions before the survey closes Sunday, Aug. 30.
The information gathered in this survey will help shape the preferred concept and supporting financial considerations that will be shared with residents in an Open House and reviewed by Council this fall.
