Road closure for ALS Cycle of Hope

Roughly 100 participants will cycle around Kelowna on Sunday to raise awareness for ALS.

The ALS Canada’s Cycle of Hope ride will take place on Sunday, Aug. 9. Approximately 100 participants will be cycling around Kelowna in order to raise funds and awareness for families living with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Groves Avenue from Tutt Street to Pandosy Street will be closed from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. to accommodate the event’s start-finish line and celebration zone.

Participants will travel along Lakeshore Drive and throughout South and South-East Kelowna. Motorists are asked to be cautious of the cyclists on the roads while driving through these areas and to plan their trip accordingly.
