More than 40 teams have already registered for the Grant Thornton 5K Run in Colour happening this Saturday, Sept. 20.
This colour-blasted fun run is raising funds for state-of-the-art equipment in KGH’s new Interior Heart & Surgical Centre currently under construction.
Building on last year’s fun, this year will feature a revised route along downtown Kelowna’s beautiful waterfront, cheaper registration fees for teams of five or more, a pancake breakfast and incentive gift cards from Orchard Park for fundraisers.
With the support of Grant Thornton, this event is locally organized with all proceeds going toward improved health care right here in our community.
“It’s a fun event for all ages and fitness levels so round up your friends, your grandma, your third-cousin’s brother-in-law and come join us,” said Chandel Christie, annual programs officer at the KGH Foundation.
“What better way to support your hospital than by getting blasted with colour?”
The run takes place from 10 a.m. to noon starting at the City Park north sportsfield. For more information and to register, visit www.5krunincolour.com.
You can register in person at the Rotary Centre for the Arts today from noon to 6 p.m. or on run day by the 8 a.m. registration deadline.
