The second of three tapings wrapped up Saturday at the Shatford Centre for Lake Country singer Sophia Boal.

The song, co-written and produced by Penticton’s Bill Bogaardt, is called Push It Up. Bogaardt collaborated with Kelowna musician Kyle Haynes with the goal of getting the 17-year-old some high-level recognition.

More: Music video extras needed

Bogaardt, president and publisher of Song Search Musical International, described the song as very “dynamic and danceable” and is complemented by 20 performers from Okanagan Dance Studios in the video under the direction of choreographer Shannon Cote.

“It’s been really great and I’m just really excited about what we’re doing here,” said Boal during a break in the Saturday video shooting.

A number of extras, including a horn section, have been added to the mix, as well.

Boal was the 2016 winner of the Fresh BC Talent Quest and dreams of one day becoming a professional singer and inspiring others through her work.
