Fogerty, an inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, rose to prominence as the lead singer and songwriter for Creedance Clearwater Revival in the 1960s.

That band had many hits that remain today as staples of classic radio airplay, from Fortunate Son, Who’ll Stop The Rain, Proud Mary and Bad Moon Rising.

In his current tour, Fogerty has recreated a musical ensemble he named the Blue Ridge Rangers, and together they’ll put their slant on several song classics, including the Everly Brothers’ hit When Will I Be Loved, Rick Nelson’s Garden Party and John Denver’s Back Home Again.

The Blue Ridge Rangers made their first appearance in 1973 when Fogerty released an album of cover tunes, but the name was deceptive as the band was actually Fogerty alone playing all the instruments.

“I thought about it at least once a month,” said Fogerty.  “I told myself if I ever get to do this again, I’m going to have real guys playing; I’d find the best guys I could and have fun and so that’s what happened this time.”
