Penticton music venue forced to close

Cash flow problems cited in a letter to co-op owner members.

The Dream Café in Penticton, — a venue for local musicians to perform, issued a letter to co-op owners that it was closed its doors, effective Oct. 1.

The cafe became co-op owned a year ago, but members were told in the letter that cash flow problems were forcing it to close temporarily.

"After careful consideration and much thought and discussion, The board of directors of the Dream Café Co-op regretfully announces the temporary suspension of operations of the Dream Café, effective midnight October 1, 2016,” reads the letter in part.
