Sarah McLachlan

Grammy award winning singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan will perform in concert at Prospera Place in Kelowna on Friday, Oct. 24.

Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, May 9, 10 a.m.

The Kelowna date is part of a 19-city cross-Canada tour that McLachlan is doing this year in support of her eighth album, Shine On.

McLachlan is one of the most celebrated musical artists that Canada has produced. She is an eight-time Juno Award and three-time Grammy Award winner.

Beyond her hit songs such as “Surfacing,” “Building a Mystery” and “Last Dance,” McLachlan earned praise for her supportive efforts for the Lilith Fair tours which both showcased emerging female musicians and raised $7 million for local and national charities during the event’s three-year run.

As well, McLachlan founded her own non-profit organization in 2002, the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, an initiative to provide afterschool music education for at-risk and underserved kids who otherwise would have no access to music programming.

Tickets are $50 and $76. Charge by phone at 250-762-5050 or also available at Prospera Place Box office.
