It's about to get 'Wildcat': Revelstoke heli skiing grows to new heights

Revelstoke's Selkirk Tangiers Heli-Skiing (STHS) has is partnering with Kelowna company, Wildcat Helicopters for the upcoming winter season.

Revelstoke's Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing (STHS) has partnered with Wildcat Helicopters, based in Kelowna, to take its outdoor enthusiasts to new heights. 

STHS made the announcement on Aug. 28, stating that STHS will have access to Wildcat Helicopter's fleet which includes a twin-engine Bell 212 and Airbus H125 helicopters. 

According to STHS, the fleet is equipped with the latest technology for mountainous terrain and operated by highly skilled and experienced pilots.

"This partnership with Wildcat Helicopters is a game-changer for us," said Dave Pehowich, general manager of Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing.

Pehowich noted that Tangiers' reputation for safety and operational excellence is in alignment with its commitment to providing guests with "the ultimate heli-skiing experience." 

Wildcat Helicopters has been in operation in B.C. for more than 20 years and is a family-owned and operated business. It has played a role in multiple industries such as firefighting, search and rescue, and heli-skiing.

"Partnering with Selkirk Tangiers is a natural fit for us," said Mike Westie, director of operations for Wildcat Helicopters. Westie has a shared passion for the mountains.

This partnership between the two companies will officially launch at the beginning of December.
