The Central Okanagan Foundation (COF) has received a $5,000 grant from Inglis Private Investment Counsel for the 2023 Wildfire Response Fund.
The money comes through the Raymond James Canada Foundation and will help ensure the COF can continue to support those impacted by the disaster.
“Inglis Private Investment Counsel is proud to support the Central Okanagan Foundation through this grant,” said Kim Inglis, portfolio manager and Founder of Inglis.
“It was absolutely devastating to watch our little piece of paradise get ripped apart by the wildfires, so we wanted a way to support the efforts of our brave firefighters, RCMP, first responders, emergency staff, and volunteers, as well as help our community with recovery efforts.”
This grant was made possible through the RJ Cares Granting Program, designed to support and encourage volunteer work done by Raymond James employees.
Inglis, who sits on the COF board, said the goal was to get money into the community, where it was needed, right away.
“I’m so pleased that we were able to help with this and work together to strengthen the wonderful community in which we live and work.
