Student Learning Grant

The Central Okanagan School District approved the process for the distribution of the Student Learning Grant at a regular board meeting, Wednesday, Feb. 22. The one-time grant will be available to districts by mid-March. Funds will be spent on resources, supplies, and equipment to ensure students are supported with the new curriculum and classrooms have enough resources. The estimated amount the district will receive is $1,104,000 or $50 per student.

Volleyball Coach of the Year

Mike Sodaro was named B.C.’s Volleyball Coach of the Year. The award recognizes individuals who have made a noteworthy contribution to high school volleyball. Mr. Sodaro coaches at Kelowna Secondary School and at Mount Boucherie Secondary School.
