Kelowna man known to police arrested in Kamloops

The 32-year old man stole a green truck and was tracked down by the RCMP’s dog team

A Kelowna man is in custody in Kamloops after stealing a truck.

Around 10:05 p.m. on Oct. 18, the Kamloops RCMP received reports of a green truck stolen on Notre Dame Drive. Upon arrival, the RCMP found the stolen truck and with help from their Police Dog Service Unit, followed the truck from 8th Street to Lac Du Bois Road, where they found and arrested the suspect.

“The suspect is known to police and is being held in-custody, with charge recommendations put forth for consideration as part of the assessment and approval process,” said Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.

The 32-year old Kelowna resident is scheduled to appear in Kamloops court today (Thursday, Oct. 19).
