Kelowna Gospel Mission (KGM) Executive Director Carmen Rempel is stepping down.
She will be moving to Victoria to explore her next career steps.
A KGM media release states that Rempel helped steer the organization through difficult times after taking on the role early 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under her leadership, KGM expanded services built stronger connections with the community, and introduced a more progressive, client-first approach, the release says.
“Kelowna’s Gospel Mission has become more than just a bed and a sandwich,” Rempel added. “We’re an organization creating real change. It’s been an honour to lead KGM through this season of growth and innovation.
Rempel noted it’s time for new leadership to take KGM into its next chapter.
“Carmen’s leadership has left a lasting legacy,” the KGM board said in a statement.
Rempel will step down on June 15.
