A neighbour heard possible gunshots Thursday morning

UPDATE: 11 a.m.

A house on Panorama Lane is being taped off by RCMP following a police situation Thursday morning.

RCMP have given little information on what happened that saw multiple officers with guns drawn in the area of Horning Road and Panorama Lane.

An officer at the scene did confirm a search warrant is being executed.

McKenzie Road is now open to traffic.

Emergency Response Team remains on scene.

A neighbourhood in the area of McCurdy Road East has been surrounded by RCMP and the Emergency Response Team.

A home on Panorama Lane and Horning Road appears to be the focus of the situation. McKenzie Road is blocked off by police, those who don't live in the area are being turned around.

A neighbour tells Capital News that they heard what sounded like gunshots just before 10 a.m.

While no roads are blocked and residents have not been told to stay inside, witnesses are reporting multiple officers with guns on the streets.

Capital News has a reporter headed to the area.
