Two homes in the Okanagan were at the centre of a drug trafficking investigation that led to multiple arrests and the seizure of drugs and cash.
On July 18, at about 7 a.m. officers from the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP’s Targeted Policing Unit, Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia and Kelowna RCMP executed search warrants at a home on Monashee Road in Vernon and another on Panorama Lane in Kelowna.
According to Const. Chris Terleski, the operation was conducted as part of an investigation into a drug trafficking group operating in both Vernon and Kelowna.
Three men and one woman, all from the Lower Mainland, were arrested as a result of this investigation. All four were released pending further investigation and charge submission for possession for the purpose of trafficking.
A large quantity of cash, prescription drugs and suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine were seized.
