'Revved Up for a Cause': Okanagan Dream Rally sparks smiles, supports kids

The Okanagan Dream Rally is organized by August Automotive Group

Exotic sports car fans were treated to a fabulous display of vehicles as the Okanagan Dream Rally motored from Kelowna to Peachland and back on Saturday (July 27).

Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens, Porches, BMWs, Corvettes, Vipers, Bentleys, and many more luxury car brands rolled along Highway 97 as hundreds of spectators lined the side of the road, stood on overpasses, or found a grassy spot to sit and watch the show.

Adults and children cheered and waved checkered flags as the supercars glimmered in the sun and revved their engines to the delight of onlookers.

Vehicles and drivers started in Kelowna with a police escort, drove through West Kelowna to Peachland where they turned off the highway onto Beach Avenue and made the round trip back to Kelowna.

The children involved in the rally are co-pilots paired up with their drivers to enjoy the day together. Approximately 250 vehicles took part in this year's show.

The Okanagan Dream Rally, organized by August Automotive Group, raises funds to support the KGH Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

It has raised more than $3.3 million since 2016.
