Ribbon cutting for upscale seniors' residence in Kelowna

Cristalina PARC is a nine-storey, 133-suite building at the corner of Lakeshore and KLO roads.

A new independent seniors’ residence in Kelowna held its grand opening on Sept. 13.

Cristalina PARC, built by PARC Retirement Living, is a nine-storey, 133-suite building at the corner of Lakeshore and KLO roads.

PARC Chairman Rainer Mueller, Mayor Tom Dyas, and artist Jeremy Herndl attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening. Herndl was commissioned to create a 20-foot cherry orchard art installation.

The building offers studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedrooms which include heat and hydro. The residence has several dining spaces, including an outdoor terrace, a wellness and fitness centre, and amenities areas.

The name “Cristalina” is a tribute to a variety of cherries designed to thrive in the Okanagan climate.
