The West Kelowna Warriors will be represented at the 2024 World Junior Hockey Championships.

Forward Johannes Løkkeberg will be suiting up for Team Norway at the prestigious hockey tournament.

The 19-year old has impressed the Warriors and BCHL in his first season. He is currently third in teams scoring with eight goals and 12 assists, equaling 20 points in 21 games this year.

Løkkeberg will join his Norwegian teammates in Ulricehamn, Sweden on Dec. 16. Team Norway will play two exhibition games, the first on Dec. 19 against Germany and second on Dec. 21 against Latvia.

This year’s tournament is taking place in Gothenberg, Sweden from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5. Norway is in Group B with Czechia, Slovakia, Switzerland and the United States.
