B.C. Lt.-Gov. Judith Guichon (left) dropped by Kelowna City Hall Monday afternoon during council’s regular meeting and was greeted by acting Mayor Gail Given and rest of city council.

After presenting Guichon with a painting depicting a scene of Okanagan Lake, Given and city manager Ron Mattiussi gave the province’s vice-regal representative a tour of city hall and had a brief meeting with her while the council meeting continued.

On Friday night, Guichan addressed the annual meeting of B.C. Fruit Growers in Kelowna after stops early in the day at schools in the south Okanagan.

Guichon, a rancher from the Nicola Valley, said she is familiar with Kelowna and visits often.
