Big White slopes ready to open

Limited opening on Thursday, more lifts open Dec. 1.

Big White Ski Resort will start the ski season on Thursday, Nov. 29, by opening the Ridge Rocket High-Speed Quad Chair, The Plaza Quad Chair and Lara’s Gondola (eight-passenger) commencing at 8:45 a.m.

Ticket prices will be reduced by 50 per cent on Thursday and Friday.

Runs expected to open will be limited to Easy Out, Highway 33, Easy Street, Hummingbird and Lower Perfection.

More runs will come on stream as snowfall levels permit. Big White hopes to open the runs off the Black Forest and Bullet chair lifts Saturday, Dec.1. At that time, tickets will go to full price.
