Vehicle fire temporarily closes Springfield Road by Highway 33 in Kelowna

Springfield Road was closed temporarily in both directions between Highway 33 east and Belgo Road on Friday morning because of a vehicle fire.

Around 7:45 a.m., the Kelowna Fire Department received calls about the front of a blue Ford Escape on fire in the area. The blaze was quickly extinguished by the fire department.

Fire crews and the RCMP are on scene, close to Willits Road. No one is believed to be injured.
