Cameron Capozzi sat still in the prisoner’s box Wednesday afternoon, as police officers were brought forward to give their accounts of the day his mother died.

The 52-year-old Kelowna man is charged with second degree murder related to the death of his mother, Josephine “Babs” Capozzi.

The preliminary hearing, which establishes whether there is enough information to bring the case to trial, is scheduled for eight days.

Josephine Capozzi, 77, was removed from the 817 Young Rd. home they shared in August 2009, and Cameron was arrested shortly thereafter.

He’s been in custody every since.
