Okanagan under severe thunderstorm watch

Thunderstorms are on the way to the Okanagan.

Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch at 1:35 p.m. on Friday, July 7, stating “conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.”

The watch is for the entire Central Okanagan, as well as Vernon and Penticton.
