Two men have been charged for a pair of armed robberies that happened earlier this month.
“Kelowna, West Kelowna and Lake Country RCMP worked in a collaborative effort to identify the suspects, who were subsequently arrested in Lake Country during a traffic stop March 16,” said Const. Kris Clark.
“Dylan Matthew Milroy and a 16-year-old Manitoba teen are facing numerous charges in connection with the two robberies. Milroy remains in custody.”
The first robbery brought West Kelowna RCMP to the Mac’s Convenience store on Boucherie Road, March 7, at 3:15 a.m.
“Apparently two men wearing bandanas had entered the store, one armed with a knife and the other with an old handgun, demanding money and cigarettes,” said Const. Clark.
“The two men took a small amount of cash and about 50 packs of cigarettes before fleeing on foot.”
Next, March 9 at 5:20 a.m., the Kelowna RCMP received a report of a robbery at the Super Save Gas on Highway 33 in Rutland.
“Two men of similar description to the Mac’s robbery, entered the Super Save and took a small amount of cash as well as cigarettes.”
