Coroner identifies motor vehicle accident fatality

Accident on Nov. 15 claimed the life of Lawrence William Renaud, 62, of Peachland.

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a motor vehicle accident in West Kelowna on Nov. 15.

He is Lawrence William Renaud, 62, of Peachland.

Renaud was a passenger in a pickup truck that was heading eastbound on Highway 97C about 35 km west of Westbank about 1:45 p.m. last Saturday when it left the roadway and rolled down about a 30-metre embankment.

Renaud was deceased at the scene of the collision. Road conditions were noted to be icy at the time of the crash.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death
