UPDATE: Crash closes Okanagan Connector

A multi-vehicle acccident closed Highway 97C in both directions Thursday evening

UPDATE: April 28

Highway 97C was reopened to traffic early this morning after a multi-vehicle accident closed the highway.

A witness tells the Black Press the accident involved two jack-knifed semi trucks and several other vehicles.

Four ambulances were on scene helping as many as eight patients.

A reported multi-vehicle crash has closed Highway 97C in both directions Thursday night.

The accident two kilometres west of the Elkhart Road exit occurred at about 9:30 p.m.

DriveBC currently has no estimated time of reopening.

Another update is expected from DriveBC tonight.
