Crash sends two drivers to hospital

Collision at intersection of Highway 33 and Big White Road.

A left-turning tour bus initiated a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 33 and Big White Road at 9:45 this morning.

Kelowna RCMP said the accident sent both vehicle’s drivers to Kelowna General Hospital with minor injuries.

Police say a tour bus was making a left turn onto Big White Road in front of a northbound SUV, causing the driver of the SUV to take evasive action to avoid a collision.

But that action led the SUV driver to collide with a truck that was traveling southbound behind the bus.

The two vehicles had to be towed away from the scene due to the damage each sustained in the collision.

Police say the driver of the bus may face charges.
