Dash 8 aircraft lands in Kelowna with one engine only operating

Three people reported on board, all safe following one-engine landing at YLW.

Emergency  crews returned to their respective stations after learning an Air Canada aircraft landed safely at Kelowna International Airport with one engine

Fire engines raced to the airport for a four alarm standby when a report that a  twin-engine Dash 8 aircraft with three people aboard was going into the airport with only one engine operating.

The aircraft landed safely at 12:29 p.m. Monday April 6, with approximately 2,500 lbs of fuel on board.

An unconfirmed report said the air crew shut down one engine following standard aircraft emergency protocol.
