Ready to try reasonably priced three-course meals in the Thompson Okanagan?

At this year’s Dine Around the Thompson-Okanagan event, more than 50 restaurants are offering three-course meals for $15,$25, $35 and $45.

The event was previously called “Wine and Dine,” but in 2016, event co-ordinator Christina Ferreira said they wanted to includebreweries and spirits to pair with their food items available.

“It’s an opportunity for people to try new restaurants… the benefit (of the event) is it’s a traditionally slow time of year forrestaurants,” she added the dining event allows for restaurants to keep busy during the slow periods.

Allowing patrons to enjoy a three-course lunch or dinner also makes it affordable, she said.

Last year restaurants served an estimated 5,000 meals, so approximately 100 meals per restaurant, said Ferreira.

The event runs from Jan. 18 to Feb. 5. and features new restaurants in Kelowna, and stretches from Kamloops to Osoyoos.

The event will kick off with a launch party on Jan. 17 which will house up to 300 people and will provide a taste of the menus tocome.
