District survey seeks input on Westbank Cemetery

West Kelowna residents are asked to fill out an online survey regarding improvements to the 'neglected' Westbank Cemetery.

  • Oct. 2, 2012 8:00 p.m.

The District of West Kelowna is creating a Westbank Cemetery Strategy, seeking to improve the cemetery’s appearance and provide more options for memorials.

Westside council is considering a phased upgrade to the cemetery, including the potential construction of a mausoleum or columbarium and upgrading the dry cemetery to a green space.

The public is invited to provide input into what improvements they would like to see at the cemetery through a survey.

The survey is available online at districtofwestkelowna.ca or people can obtain a paper survey at West Kelowna Municipal Hall (2760 Cameron Road).

Completed surveys must be submitted by Oct. 15.

For more information, contact the Financial Services Department at 778-797-2220.
