Dramatic wave watching video at Rotary Beach

Reader submitted video shows waves whipped up from wind

Shorelines in cities surrounding Okanagan Lakes took a beating Thursday from wind whipped waves.

Capital News reader Dirk Handke went out and filmed the wave show at Rotary Beach, noting there were two wind fronts — the first at around 1:30 a.m. and the next at around 4 p.m.

Handke said they were both pretty incredible.

Here’s his wave watching video.
