A number of Kelowna drivers still don’t seem to be getting the message to not drink and drive after RCMP dealt with nearly a dozen impaired drivers last weekend.

Const. Steve Holmes said that officers dealt with a total of 11 alcohol-related situations—two drivers were given three day driving prohibitions for blowing a blood alcohol level over .06, seven were given 90 day suspensions and two collisions caused by impaired driving occurred.

“So clearly, this weekend was not a very good one for people not drinking and driving,” said Holmes.
