Dumpsters ablaze in Kelowna

Police and the Fire Department responded to three dumpster fires, in rapid succession early this morning.

Kelowna’s police and fire fighting forces responded to three dumpster fires, in rapid succession early this morning.

“The first call came in around 10 minutes after midnight and within six minutes, the other two were reported,” said Const. Steve Holmes.

“Dumpsters in the 300 block of Franklyn Rd as well as in the 300 and 400 block  of Highway 33 appear to have been deliberately set ablaze however the quick response from the Fire Department saw all three extinguished with no apparent damage to any other property.”
