Angelique Wood is running for the NDP in the Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola riding.

Age: 46

Occupation: Coordinator of the Okanagan Healthy Living Coalition.

Family: Angelique and partner, Travis Barck, live in Hedley.

Place of Birth: Montreal.

Education Background: Emily Carr University, Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Past Political Experience: Electoral Area Director for the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen (2011-2014).

Community Organization Membership/Affiliations: Served on many diverse boards—Southern Interior Local Government Association, Keremeos Recreation Commission, Similkameen Valley Planning Society, Southern Beetle Action Committee (2011); volunteer firefighter (Hedley).

Why would you be an effective MP:  I am a very good listener, an articulate advocate, I have deep roots in central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola, a strong connection with the next generation conviction with energy to accomplish the task, very upfront—what you see is what you get—and backed by a dedicated team of community advocates.
