What once took days is now a six hour job, due to the Okanagan's increasingly capable population of tradespeople.

This concrete pour is an example sent in to the Capital News Tuesday.  There were 70 concrete truck loads at Green Square on Richter.

It took the team of ready-mix, pumpers, and concrete finishers six hours to unload and smooth off the 19,000 sq.ft. suspended slab, which amounts to an impressive 115 cubic meters an hour.

Larger volume concrete installations in shorter periods of time are in demand. This practice reduces the exposure time to freezing temperatures as more building is flowing through the winter season this year.
