A familiar wavy-haired individual will be making his way to the Central Okanagan in September.

The Liberal summer caucus meeting will be held in Kelowna from Sept. 5 to 7.

“The Okanagan has done a great job of diversifying its economy to include tourism, technology, agriculture, aerospace and academia, said chair of the national Liberal caucus Francis Scarpaleggia. “Our caucus is looking forward to learning more about the region’s success in these areas by speaking with local community members.

“This will also be an opportunity to show our support for residents and first responders in the British Columbia interior who have been battling ongoing devastating wildfires,” said Scarpaleggia.

MP for Kelowna-Lake Country Stephen Fuhr said he was looking forward to welcoming Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the caucus to the Okanagan.
