Few police incidents at COG

After months of preparation from the Kelowna RCMP, Center of Gravity had few incidents

Center Of Gravity festival goers were fairly well behaved, according to the RCMP.

The Kelowna RCMP along with other officials reviewed the 2017 Center of Gravity weekend events with a positive look back on the weekend.

Following today’s debriefing meeting on the activities and policing requirements connected to the annual Center of Gravity event, it was concluded that overall, it was successful from the perspective of the RCMP, organizers and the promoter, according to an RCMP media release.

For several months, Kelowna RCMP have been preparing for the outdoor event.

Attendance numbers were 6,000 Friday, 7,900 Saturday and 7,100 Sunday. RCMP calls for service on site were in response to intoxication and drug trafficking primarily. No major incidents were reported to police, said the release.
