Two fire engines, a rescue vehicle and a safety truck took care of a minor deck fire on Kelowna’s Coronoation Ave. Wednesday evening, prompting a warning from the Kelowna Fire Department.
Kelowna Fire Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a deck fire in the 900 Block of Coronation Ave just after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Upon arrival, they confirmed a small fire was burning on the rear deck of the residence. It was quickly extinguished leaving minor damage to the structure.
The fire cause is undetermined and is being investigated.
The fire department warned residents to always dispose of smoking materials responsibly.
