Five children rescued by COSAR

Family safe after snowy rescue from KVR

A family with five children are safe this morning due to the efforts of a Search and Rescue team.

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue responded to a request from the RCMP to assist a stuck motorist on the KVR.

“They had gotten stuck in deep snow and had five children,” said David Crawford, of COSAR in an online post.

“We escorted them out of the area and are taking them home to warm dinner and bed.”

More to come.
