Good morning, Kelowna. Here’s your Top 5 for Dec. 22, 2016

We are all things Christmas in this morning's Top 5.

  • Dec. 22, 2016 6:00 p.m.

There are only three days until Christmas! Where did the time go? Hope you have all invested the required retail time because it’s getting pretty hairy out there. If not, good luck. And here are your Top 5 stories:

1.) Baby, it’s cold outside. Tolerably so. Environment Canada says there will be a 40 per cent chance of flurries late this afternoon and the high temperature is  0 C.

2.) If Christmas lights raise your spirits, this community has loads of stuff on the go. Check out this particularly impressive set up.

3.) Community members are in the giving spirit this time of year and it’s wonderful. Check out this story about the owner of a local hair salon put his own locks on the line to raise funds for Kelowna General Hospital. There’s also this sweet story about a senior throwing her support behind the Rail Trail Initiative.

4.) There’s a new Top Cop in town. We’ll learn more about the new hire in the new year.

5.) A Penticton family has lost everything in a fire. To learn more about their story, read this piece from the Penticton Western News.
