Good morning, Okanaganites. Was your weekend wonderful? Hope so. Before you immerse yourself in the daily grind, take a look at our top emerging stories and some other tidbits you may have missed over the weekend.

1.) First on the agenda is the weather. It’s not quite glorious, but so much warmer than we’ve been feeling. In fact, there will be rain in our future. If you still love the cold, you may enjoy these icy pictures.

3.) Hayley Wickenheiser, who led Canada to four Winter Olympic gold medals and a silver during her distinguished career, was honoured during a special pre-game ceremony prior to puck drop between the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers at Roger Place on Saturday.

4.) Looking for more ways to enjoy the outdoors? Big White Ski Resort has designated two Nordic trails to the use of fat tire mountain bikes.

5.) In national news, the federal ethics commissioner is launching an investigation into Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s use of a private helicopter during his winter vacation.
