A spiked baseball bat reminiscent of a viking club was found among the arsenal of weapons housed in a Glenmore home

An arsenal of weapons capable of extreme brutality in a sinister individual’s hands have been seized from a Glenmore home across from Kelowna Golf & Country Club.

Members of the Kelowna RCMP Special Enforcement Team spent the American Independence Day executing a search warrant in the 1300 block of Glenmore Drive to seize 12 rifles and shotguns, a spiked bat, knives and an assortment of other weapons.

Some of the items stolen, which increases the severity of the situation for the 23-year-old woman and 41-year-old man arrested in connection with the case.

The young woman isguns known to police, having committed a series of previous crimes, and is now in custody. The man arrested was released on a promise to appear in court.

Charges recommended for both include possession of stolen property and firearms related offences.
