Hayman Road to close for two weeks

Motorists are asked to obey posted speed limits and watch for construction crews as the Westside completes sewer service extensions.

Hayman Road will be closed intermittently for approximately two weeks to accommodate ongoing sanitary sewer service extensions in the Lakeview Heights area of West Kelowna.

Through traffic is encouraged to use either Tomat Avenue or Stuart Road. Detour signs will be posted.

Motorists are asked to obey posted speed limits and watch for flaggers and construction crews.

The sanitary sewer construction project in West Kelowna is in its fourth and final year. When completed in March, 2013, services will have been extended to more than 1,400 homes in the Lakeview Heights and Glenrosa neighbourhoods.

The federal government and the province of B.C. are funding two thirds of the project through the Building Canada Fund, Communities Component.
