A man believed to have been involved in bringing the Hells Angels to Kelowna has pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.
Joseph Bruce Skreptak, 45, pleaded guilty to the offence Monday on what was to be the first day of his trial.
The charge dates back to Nov. 1, 2010, when police were summoned to a Kelowna home at 11:30 p.m. after a man had been beaten.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries and later released.
Following the guilty plea, changes were made to Skreptak’s bail conditions, including taking him off of house arrest. Instead, he has an 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew.
A breach charge related to a Salmon Arm weapons case was also stayed Monday.
Sentencing on the aggravated assault charge will take place at a later date.
