One proposed route for the Peachland bypass

Concerned Peachlanders and highway wonks are invited to a Monday night open house on options for Highway 97.

The study team has prepared several options to improve the existing corridor, as well as options using an alternate route, for further public comment. The public’s input will be considered in the evaluation and eventual selection of future transportation improvements.

The ministry has committed to extensive community engagement as part of the study process.

The feedback provided by the public at the upcoming open house will continue to help the ministry to address future needs through/around Peachland.

At the same time and location, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and the District of Peachland will also share the findings of the Peachland Speed & Safety Study. This study deals with more immediate concerns related to intersection safety and highway speeds in Peachland.

The public is welcome to attend the open house scheduled for:

Monday, Nov. 21

4:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Peachland Community Centre

4450 6th St.

Peachland
