The wildfire that broke out yesterday afternoon south of Revelstoke burned 25 hectares of land.

Though the fire is now classified as “under control” BC Wildfire is still on the scene mopping up and patrolling for smouldering areas.

Two wildfire crews as well as the Revelstoke Fire Department responded to the fire, however it mostly burned itself out.

BC Wildfire called it a top grass fire and said they suspect it is human-caused.

The blaze is considered human-caused and located near the corner of Greenslide Road and Airport Way, on the shores of Upper Arrow Lake.
