‘I’d be better off going after a bank’: Pot companies beef up security for Croptober

For many licensed producers, it’s their first outdoor harvest

Long before Christina Lake Cannabis purchased its 32 acres of land between two intersecting valleys in B.C.’s lower interior, the mountains above it were firmly established in the annals of pot growing lore.

In 2010, the RCMP found 10 or 26 (depending who you ask) black bears defending 1,000 cannabis plants and a house containing a pot-bellied pig and a raccoon.

To read more about cannabis in Cananda, visit the Canadian Evergreen, a new age-gated cannabis-focused news and lifestyle website for adult consumers.

The minimum age to legally buy, possess, grow and use cannabis within B.C. is 19 years and over. It is a criminal offence to sell cannabis to a young person under the age of 19. Canadian Evergreen is only for adults aged 19 or over.
