Info sought on poached moose

If you have information about a cow and calf moose taken Tuesday morning in the Little White Forest Service Road area, call the CO service.

If you were in the area of Little White Forest Service Road Tuesday morning, conservation officers would like to speak to you about two moose that were taken.

Conservation officer Ed Seitz said someone in the area reported finding gut piles of a smaller and larger moose Tuesday morning, near the end of Little White Road, off June Springs Road.

Seitz figures it was a cow and calf moose, when only spike fork bull moose are in season in that area right now.

The meat was taken, he said.

That makes the fourth and fifth moose shot illegally so far this season in this area, he said.

If you have any information that might be helpful in their investigation, you’re asked to call the Report All Poachers and Polluters toll-free line at: 1-877-952-7277.
