Kelowna council bids city’s top cop farewell

RCMP Supt. Bill McKinnon appears before city council one last time before he retires this week.

Kelowna’s top cop, RCMP Supt. Bill McKinnon (centre) will retire at the end of this week after 38 years on the force and 12 as the commander at the Kelowna city detachment. To mark his departure, city council presented him with a stone carving Monday and Mayor Walter Gray expressed his gratitude for job McKinnon did here.
