Investigators are appealing for witnesses to identify a suspect after a vehicle fled from a rear end collision yesterday afternoon.

The Kelowna RCMP received a report of a hit and run on Springfield Road near Kirschner Road, Nov. 27 at 4:45 p.m.

“A westbound Toyota Corolla was slowing for traffic due to a red light when it was struck from behind by a large truck. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene, turning right onto Kirschner Road towards Harvey Avenue,” said Const. Kris Clark.

“The Corolla suffered extensive rear-end damage but the 27 year old Kelowna woman escaped overt injury.”

The suspect vehicle was described as a dark coloured, possibly black, Ford F350 with a chrome grille.
