RCMP are continuing to search for a suspect involved in an early morning assault.
The Kelowna RCMP responded at 5:51 a.m. on Aug. 16, to a report of an alleged assault with a weapon committed inside a residence in the 400 block of Franklyn Road.
“The victim, a Kelowna woman in her 20s, was transported to hospital with what police to be non-life threatening injuries,” said Const. Jesse O’Donaghey, in a press release.
“As the investigation is ongoing and charges have not been laid police are not releasing the man’s name at this point.”
RCMP can confirm that the victim and the suspect were known to each other and that this appears to be an isolated incident.
